How Cold Will Phoenix Get?

Here in the Valley of the Sun the National Weather Service says we can expect our night time low on Tuesday January the 7th to be 38 degrees Fahrenheit or so.

Here in the Phoenix Metro area we think of that as cold weather.  We can expect summer highs to be well over 110 degrees.  So a temperature that is more than seventy degrees lower to feel very cold.  During our winter you need an efficient and well running heating system to keep you warm and that is where Aaron’s Mechanical Services can help.

Give us a call so we can come an look over and tune up your furnace, heat pump or HVAC unit ao your home can stay warm and comfortable.  Furnace repair is our middle name, well at least it is in the winter time.

If you have friends or family in the Midwest or eastern part of the US you have been seeing the bitter cold that the “Polar Vortex” shift has brought to them.

Here are some cold weather facts that they may be facing;

North Dakota - 50 degrees below zero (with wind chill added) Exposed flesh can freeze in as little as five minutes…

Chicago – Schools and many Public Offices are going to be closed.as temperatures drop well below zero…

Atlanta – Temperatures plunged to 6 degrees above zero in Atlanta and 6 degrees below zero at a remote weather station in the north Georgia Mountains as the coldest air in years settled over the state. It was still well below freezing across Southeast Georgia where lows were mostly around 20 degrees at dawn.

New York's Central Park - has never been this cold -- on this date.

How cold is it? An escaped jail inmate turned himself in so he could warm up!

You could warm up in Siberia! - Technically, that's true. That's because Siberia is huge. As temperatures dropped to unbelievable lows in much of U.S., it did get colder than the Russian city of Tobolsk in Siberia. But when you think of Siberia, you probably imagine the more brutal, bitter, biting cold of a place like Dzalinda, where temperatures have been hanging out at about minus 55 degrees Monday and Tuesday. Amazingly, with wind chill, parts of the northern U.S. felt that low Tuesday.
