The base elevation of the facility sits at 9,200 feet and the resort receives an average annual snowfall of 260 inches. It has a 2,300-foot drop, the largest in Arizona, and has five ski lifts servicing the mountain.
Two lodges, Hart Prairie Lodge and Agassiz Lodge, are located at the ski area. Arizona Snowbowl has been in operation since 1938.

Learn To Ski & Ride In January!
This program is provided by Arizona Snowbowl in cooperation with the Ski Industry Initiative "January Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month".
Program guidelines:
First 500 participants are FREE; another 500 - $45/person
Every participant must register online prior to attending. REGISTER NOW
Program includes a lower mountain lift ticket, equipment rentals and a two-hour lesson
Lesson packages are designed for beginners only (skiers or snowboarders)
Lessons start at 10am and 1pm. Please plan to arrive 1.5 hours before start time
Lessons available starting January 6 for ages 13 & up. Adults welcome! Not valid on January 18-19
On the day of arrival, please arrive with your registration confirmation. Complete a rental form and proceed in line to the Rental Cashier. Lift Tickets, Equipment and Lesson vouchers will be issued there.

Snowbowl is just a two and half to three hour drive north of the Phoenix Metro area. (depending on road conditions)
