Official First Day Of Fall in Phoenix Arizona It Is Only 104 Degrees

Today, September 23rd 2014, is the official first day of Fall and the Valley of the Sun has the sounds of millions of Air Conditioners running full-out battling the one-hundred-four degrees Fahrenheit.  I know, the Phoenix Metro area, sets in the middle of the southwestern desert and that means a very hot climate.  In point of fact one of the local television stations uses the term “sizzling” when they talk about our temperatures.

The National Weather Service has today’s average temperature listed at only “98” degrees.  I have mentioned before that may sound like a cool-down to us, but ninety-eight degrees Fahrenheit  is a hot summer day in nearly all of the United States.

So, can I take a moment and ask if you are considering air conditioning repair about now?  You aren’t thinking of putting it off till spring are you? AC is still needed and depending on age, health and body type you are going to need you’re A/C unit running well for the next forty-five to sixty days.  Yes, I know that means well into November.  Don’t forget that they call this wonderful place, where we live and work, the Valley of the Sun.

We help make your home comfortable by bringing you Quality Work, Fair Prices and perhaps most important as quickly as possible.  That is why we are known for AC Repair – Fast and Fair!

Cold Hard Facts That May Cool You Off

“Snow rollers” are rare, large snowballs formed naturally as chunks of snow are blown about by the wind.

Snow reflects a high level of ultraviolet radiation and can cause photokeratitis (snow blindness). Sunglasses, goggles and other eye protection help absorb these ultraviolet rays.

The highest snowfall ever recorded in a one year period was 1,224 inches (over 100 feet) in Mount Rainier, Washington State, between February 19, 1971 and February 18, 1972.  Makes me very glad we don’t have to shovel sunshine.

On April 4, 1986, Bangladesh was hit by the biggest hailstones ever recorded over 2 pounds each killing 92 people.

It has already snowed in 8 states in the last thirty days.
