Aaron’s Mechanical Services Predicts First 100 Degree Day For 2014

OK, here it is, the first one-hundred degrees day (that is Fahrenheit, of course) for the Phoenix Metro Area in 2014 is going to occur on Saturday May 3rd.

Sure we had a bit of help from the National Weather Service in making that prediction.  The Valley of the Sun will be a bit early, average wise, for being at one-hundred degrees.  In fact Saturday stands a good chance for being over one-hundred.  With Friday May 2nd being at ninety-eight degrees we may well see 101 or 102 as our high for Saturday.  With a temperature range of five degrees or more from the highest to lowest high, Saturday will be interesting.

So you have just a few days left to make sure that your air conditioner is ready for the summer hot weather.  Have you had your AC Tune-up yet?  Get it now, while you can.  Just give Aaron’s Mechanical Services a call at 623-388-4436 so we can keep you cool and comfortable.

We hope you enjoyed our very cool weekend that we just had.  Looks like you will have to wait until late October to see the daytime temps dip into the seventies again. As you know that could even be into November before that happens.

From now on you will have to drive up north to cool off on the weekends.  Yes, you can go to the high country around Tucson as well.  But for more space and fun things to do we normally think that going north offers more choices.  You can also consider going more north east up around the Pine Top Lakeside areas as well.

Without air conditioning the southwest desert is not a fun place to be during the summer.  Phoenix sets smack dab in the Sonoran desert.  While most it stretches to the south west away from Phoenix we are still very much a full on desert climate.  Without the irrigation system here in the Valley of the Sun we would not be able to support the lush plants that now grow here now.

So that brings us back to the “burning” question, “Is your Air Conditioner ready for our coming summer heat?”

If you are not ready, and we don’t want to brag, but, Aaron’s Mechanical Services is the one to call at 623-388-4436 so you can keep your home cool and comfortable in the coming months.

Did You Know?

The desert tortoise is able to live where ground temperatures may exceed 140 degrees F because of its ability to dig underground burrows three to six feet deep to escape the heat of summer. It is one of the most elusive inhabitants of the desert, spending up to 98% of its time underground.
