Cool Places: Seeing Santa in the Phoenix Metro Area

Yes, many of our shopping malls do feature a Santa, but if you and your children want to meet the jolly old elf in a different type of location here is a list of different places here in the Valley of the Sun. Most are free, but some do have fees or required purchase.

Deer Valley Airport Restaurant:  Now until Christmas Santa arrives by helicopter Saturdays at 10am and Sunday at 3pm. http://www.deervalleyairportrestaurant.com/coupon_01.html

Glendale Glitters Enchanted Evenings: 6-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Now through December 22. Downtown Glendale. http://www.glendaleaz.com/Glitters/index.cfm

McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park: 6:30-9 p.m. Sundays through Saturdays, December 14 through January 5th. The park is decorated with thousands of holiday lights. Opening night (12/14) includes a tree-lighting ceremony, entertainment and Santa. Santa is at the park through Dec. 23. Also train and carousel rides. The park is closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31. Mrs. Santa Claus: North Phoenix: 10 a.m. December 18th. Sing songs and celebrate the season with the wife of Santa Claus. Also 11 a.m. North Valley Regional Library, 40410 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Phoenix. http://www.mcldaz.org.

Breakfast With Santa: Sunday, Saturday, December 8-24. Also includes a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas reading by Mrs. Claus.
