A Real Hot Ending To June

Have you seen the weather forecast for this coming weekend?  I looks like June 2013 is going to come to an end with our daytime temperatures at least eight to ten degrees above normal.  With our “normal” daytime temps running in the 106 to 108 degree range that means that we will see the afternoons running 114 to 116 degrees.  I don’t know about you but that is HOT!

That is not the time to have your AC Unit go out.  Are you and your air conditioner ready?  If you want to live dangerously that is OK but keep Aaron’s Mechanical Service’s phone number handy, that’s  623-388-4436.

The last thing you want to do this weekend is to have to pack up you, the family and the pets and move to your aunt Sally’s house or worse yet to the local $100 dollar a night motel.  You have to hope they are pet friendly and the security deposits for pets is under $50 dollars each.

Did we mention that Aaron’s Mechanical Service AC inspections and Tune-ups?  You have heard the old saying from Ben Franklin that “an ounce of prevention is worth a whole pound of cure!”  That is great advice when it comes to keeping your air conditioning running at its most efficient and least expensive form.

Did you know; that a large healthy shade tree near the southwest corner of your home can keep your house up to ten degrees cooler during the afternoon?

Did you know; that the temperatures you hear broadcast by the media are taken in the shade.  The temperature is taken in the shade and in the open, because scientists need the air temperature.
When sun shines on the thermometer, the infrared radiation, artificially raises the surface temperature of whatever it shines on ( the thermometer in this case ) and this gives false reading. Measuring the temperature is not solely to tell people, how hot they feel under blazing sun on their skin.

Did you know; you need to drink at least one half gallon of water a day to stay hydrated.  If you are working outdoors you can loose even more than that amount.

Is your neighbor’s window open and it’s 115 degrees outside? This is a sure sign that there may be a problem with the air-conditioning. On those excessive-heat-warning days, check on neighbors who tend to stay inside or those who may be on fixed incomes and might skimp on air-conditioning.

Looking for a fast and fair company to work with for your Air Conditioning repair or replacement needs?  Give Aaron’s Mechanical Service a call and let us help you get cooled off! Call 623-388-4436
