APS and SRP Offer $99 Home Energy Audits

Looking for an inexpensive way to get your home checked for Energy efficiency?

Request a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® checkup for just $99 (a $400 value) and receive a customized list of suggested energy efficiency upgrades from your participating contractor. These upgrades can help save up to 30% on your energy bill.

A national program created by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Home Performance with Energy Star is a “whole house” approach designed to provide energy efficient recommendations and improvements that can help you save energy and money. Specially trained contractors can diagnose your home and identify energy-saving improvements to:

• reduce hot/cold spots and balance temperatures year round

• make your home more energy-efficient and save you money

• identify ways to improve the health, safety and indoor air quality of your home

• CFLs you receive during your assessment, APS offers instant savings on energy efficient CFLs at participating retailers.

• APS offers rebates up to $250 to upgrade attic insulation to R-30 when the existing insulation has a performing R-value of less than R-19.  In order to qualify to insulation rebates, customers must seal air leaks first to ensure maximum insulation performance.

Contractors use Energy Star values as a home check-up, complete with testing and inspections that normally cost hundreds of dollars. They work with your utility to provide this service at a discounted price. They can also assist you with utility rebates, tax credits and other incentives to help you get the most out of your money.
