Cool Arizona Places: Arizona Snowbowl

With rain in the Phoenix area and temperatures dropping into the freezing zone up north and at higher elevations we begin to think of snow and all the recreation that it brings.

Arizona Snowbowl is opening tomorrow Thursday December 20th.

The snow report as of Wednesday is;

Snow Conditions
Past 24 hour 6-12"
Past 5 days 29-42"

More snow is in the forecast for later this week.

Ski Lift Lodge & Cabins Are The Perfect Escape When You Visit Flagstaff

Owned and operated by the Arizona Snowbowl, these facilities are only minutes northwest of Flagstaff at the base of the San Francisco Peaks. Close to all of the northern Arizona attractions, including the Grand Canyon, Route 66 and the Museum of Northern Arizona. This location allows for direct access into the Coconino National Forest for hiking and biking adventures.

Remember: take a lesson!

It is FREE to add one 2-hour beginners lesson (Learn to Ski/Snowboard) to your lift ticket and rental equipment package. We highly recommend that first-time skiers or snowboarders take a lesson with our Ski & Ride School professional instructors. It is imperative to learn proper technique in order to prevent injury and make the sport more enjoyable. Ask about their Ski & Ride School.

Location: The Arizona Snowbowl is located 7 miles northwest of Flagstaff on Highway 180. To get here, simply turn right on Snowbowl Road and continue another 7 miles.

There are two lodges: Hart Prairie (lower lodge) and Agassiz (upper lodge).
The Ski Lift Lodge & Cabins are located on Highway 180, at the base of Snowbowl Road.
