Our Friends and Family Back East Are Really Catching It

At least if they live in and around Buffalo NY they are.  Reports are there is so much snow on some roofs the house or business could be in danger of roof failure or even building collapse.

The worse news is that even more snow will arrive in the next twenty-four hours. So much for the predicted mild winter this year.

If we look at the Valley of the Sun we are having a bit colder than normal run of temperatures over the last few days.  Is your furnace or heating system keeping your home comfortable?  Have you been using space heaters to keep certain rooms warm?

By mid-afternoon the Phoenix Metro area has enough solar heat gain that we sure are warm enough,  If your home’s insulation is up to modern code that will keep you warm enough till just about bedtime. But after that are you running your furnace until late into the next morning?

Is your HVAC system or heat pump running efficiently or is it wasting energy and your money? None of us like APS or SRP enough to give them extra dollars with every electric bill that we pay. Right? I didn’t think so.
