Are You Hosting Thanksgiving?

With the first of the holidays almost upon us we are all getting ready for Thanksgiving in one way or the other.  We are either planning on going to someone’s home or we are getting our home ready for company. Just two weeks from today we will be passing the potatoes and carving the turkey.

Is your furnace, HVAC or heating system ready for the holiday festivities? While the oven will be going and providing some heat you may need to have your heating system tested and tuned-up so it can do its part as well.

A quick call to Aaron’s Mechanical Service at 623-388-4436 can get us on our way to make sure your home is ready for the holiday and the heating season.  Here in Arizona, especially the Phoenix Metro area it is not part of any real cold winters.  But, with our body tempered for highs well north of one-hundred-fifteen degrees Fahrenheit we need heating help when our daytime highs drop into the sixty or low seventy degree range.  Later in the year we can have nights that can drop to near freezing.

According to the National Weather Service we will see temperatures in some parts of the Valley of the Sun with nighttime lows around twenty degrees above freezing.  In the forties and fifties is cold enough for me.

Don’t wait to find out if your furnace or heating system is up to the task and then leaves you out in the cold so to speak.

Did You Know?

The turkey is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is native to the Americas. One species, Meleagris gallopavo, is native to the forests of North America, mainly Mexico and the United States.

The turkey is one of the most famous birds in North America.  In fact, Benjamin Franklin wanted to make the wild turkey, not the Bald Eagle, the national bird of the United States!

The turkey's popularity comes from the American people's love of eating the bird for special occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Over 700 million pounds of turkey are consumed yearly in the United States.

Turkey hens are usually sold as whole birds. Toms are processed into turkey sausage, turkey franks, tenderloins, cutlets and deli meats.

The heaviest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds, about the size of a large dog.

A 15 pound turkey usually has about 70 percent white meat and 30 percent dark meat.

At Aaron’s Mechanical Service we want you to stay warm dry and comfortable all year round.  If your HVAC unit or heating system needs service or replacement please think of us and call at 623-388-4436 and we will come to you and solve your air conditioning service needs.
