We had a relatively cool August with many days under 100 degrees. It looks like September will try to make up for the cool August by being a hotter September.
In most of the country they just don’t understand that we are still running our air conditioners to stay cool and comfortable. In fact there will be days in October when we need the AC units to be running so we can be safe and comfortable.
In the Valley of the Sun during September and October, we will see temperatures that are well above what many places in the continental United States consider “hot” summer days. We look forward to our fall as being cooler than summer but we understand that our tourist trade is fueled by our wonderful warm temperatures during the fall and winter.
With today, September 2nd 2014 predicted to be 109 degrees Fahrenheit we will be above the absolute high for forty-six out of our fifty states.
