It could be worse and is for the northeast where the National Weather Service is predicting a Historic Blizzard for the northeast. Up to twenty inches of snow (some are predicting a worse case scenario of more than 36 inches) from New Jersey northward to the state of Maine. This is a real nor’easter storm.
Travel is upset with 5,200 flights canceled through Tuesday. How many folks that were headed to Sky Harbor International airport scrambling to make other plans to get to the big game this weekend? With thousand dollar tickets and thousand dollar hotel rooms on the line they may have to start driving now to get here so they don’t miss out.
The state of Connecticut has closed many roads and advised that no travel should be attempted. Wow, can’t fly and can’t drive. Now people know why many folks move to warm climates for the winter months.

If you miss a flight due to weather what happens to your non-refundable, non-cancelable ticket for that canceled flight? Who gets bumped on Wednesday when the airports re-open? Does the folks who were storm affected get priority over the folks with tickets for Wednesday? Would you want to be an airport gate agent in the New York area for the next few days as they try to sort out these storm issues?
Promise you won’t call your friends in the northeast telling them about your barbequing this evening, that would be rubbing salt in the wound with this big storm. Of course if they call you in July and August asking if you need help getting unstuck out of the asphalt parking lot then feel free to text them a photo of the food on the grill and our sunset.
