The San Pedro Valley Observatory is a unique education, astronomy and astrophotography center located in sunny Benson, Arizona. Originally the Vega-Bray Observatory and Astronomer’s Inn, the San Pedro Valley Observatory has been recently updated with the latest in astrophotography and astronomical equipment. The Observatory hosts many events that are open to the public and has many rental packages available for families, astronomers of all levels of experience and serious researchers.

Founded in 1990 by Dr. Eduardo Vega and Max Bray, the San Pedro Valley Observatory, under new ownership, is located just outside the town of Benson, Arizona, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Phoenix; 45 minutes East of Tucson. It is world famous and attracts amateur astronomers from all over the nation. Continuing the tradition set forth by Dr. Vega, the observatory remains a center for education and research and offers its facilities to the local schools.
